Audio is never stored — it is discarded immediately after transcription. Transcripts, if saved, are stored encrypted in PostgreSQL hosted in the United States. The encryption key is derived per-user so no one at Verity can read your transcripts without your credentials.

Each transcript is encrypted with AES-256-GCM. The encryption key is derived from your account credentials using HKDF-SHA256, meaning each user's data is encrypted with a unique key that Verity servers cannot reconstruct without your authentication.

We will notify affected users and relevant supervisory authorities within 72 hours as required by GDPR Article 33. Because transcripts are encrypted per-user with HKDF-derived keys, a breach of the database alone would not expose readable transcript content.

You can delete your account and all associated data from account settings. Audio is never retained. Transcript data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion. To request immediate deletion, email [email protected].

SOC 2 certification is on our compliance roadmap. We are not currently certified. Our security practices include zero-retention processing, TLS 1.3 everywhere, and encrypted storage.
