This Privacy Policy explains how Verity Software Inc. ("Verity", "we", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website (verityapp.io) and the Verity application.

1. Website — Waitlist

When you join the waitlist on our website, we collect your email address.

• Your email is stored securely using third-party service providers.
• We use it for one purpose only: to send you a single notification when Verity launches.
• We will never sell, share, or use your email for any other purpose.

2. App — Account & Payment

When you create an account in the Verity app or on our website, we store your email address and account creation date for authentication and service provision.

Payments: We never receive or store your credit card information. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors depending on your region and platform. We receive only your subscription status and purchase date from these processors. Subscriptions purchased on any platform can be accessed on all others by logging in with your account.

3. App — Audio & Transcription

Microphone access is used only when you explicitly initiate a recording. We do not access the microphone at any other time.

Audio processing: Your audio is transmitted encrypted in transit to third-party speech-to-text service providers. The audio is deleted immediately after the transcript is returned to us. We do not retain audio beyond this processing step.

Metadata transmitted with recordings: timestamp, audio format, app version, device OS version, your account identifier, and your language preference.

Transcription polishing: The raw transcription text is processed to produce polished text. The polished transcription is stored encrypted for cloud sync. Both the cloud copy and any local copy on your device are retained for a maximum of 30 days, after which they are automatically and permanently deleted.

Retry handling: If a transcription fails, the audio may be temporarily retained on-device to allow a retry attempt. It is deleted immediately after the retry succeeds or fails, and in any case within 24 hours.

4. App — Analytics

We collect crash reports and feature usage data (such as which features are used and how often) to diagnose bugs and improve the app. This data does not include your audio recordings or transcription text.

5. What We Do Not Do

• We do not use your audio or transcription content to train AI models.
• We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
• We do not share your data with third parties except as strictly required to provide the service.
